Description

One of my resident Blue Jays perched beautifully in our snow covered Ash tree! He has lowered his blue crest on top of his head, which tells me he is not alarmed by me. Last spring I saw a pair make their nest in this same tree for the first time! Lucky to observe them teaching their single fledgling how to fly in my backyard! It took five days to master flying, & on that fifth day all three flew away. I hope they nest here again this spring! –
