I like to put together small tray feeders and fit them to my porch railings. It takes a little fiddling, but the birds like the trays, so it brings them close and allows for some easy photos. Of course, I have to monitor them pretty closely, because the squirrels like the trays too, and, if I’m not there to shoo them off, will empty the feeders within minutes before any birds have a chance to visit them.
