Description

I have one hopper feeder filled with safflower seeds which seemed favored by some birds, like Cardinals and Titmice. I decided to experiment to see what would happen if I scattered a number of dried mealworms on the feeder–not in the hopper, but just in that portion where the birds can get to the seed. I got my camera and staked it out…It didn’t take long for the Eastern Bluebirds to find their favorite treats, but oddly, I only saw the males at that feeder.
