Coopers Hawk

Coopers Hawk - Not always happy to see this hawk, as he will come around the feeders looking for a meal. However, it is a magnificent bird of prey.

I am feeling the same thing as you with a Cooper’s who is visiting my yard and the birds in it.

This hawk was coming onto our patio a lot and even perching on our gutters watching the feeders. I found some owl-shaped bird reflective discs on Amazon. I hooked about 5 of them together and hung them from our gutters. It is like a disco ball reflecting light that they are not supposed to like. I have not seen the hawk on the patio since doing so. The other small birds don’t seem to mind and continue to come to the feeders.
