Description

I was sitting in my back porch with my camera while watching the various species come and go on the feeders. I was hoping to photograph the Blue jays that have started to appear more often to grab a snack from the feeders. I hung a shelled peanut feeder in the tree to attract them but they ignore it. The squirrels eat the peanuts. While watching for the jays, I noticed a flash of yellow to my left where the the bird bath sits between the bushes. The birds usually sit in the bushes before jumping into the bath. They jump on the limbs growing out of the bush to dry off. It’s the perfect set up for photographing birds that just visit the bath. I missed the opportunity to photograph this warbler before it jumped into the bath but was able to capture several photos afterwards. I was so excited to be able to photograph a new species visiting my back yard.
