This bird was on top of my new feeder-I couldn’t get a good picture. This one is the best-so I used picture to identify bird. It was identified as a female American Redstart–a bird I am not familiar with. Looked it up- the habitat they like matches my habitat of Forested Wetlands. This bird is the female-I would be thrilled to see the male.
I would like to think I have a pair- but realize that I probably will never see another one.
I have their favorite habitat- with lots of the insects that they like—there is always hope.
