Description

Although we have the Red -tailed hawk around a lot it seldom visits our feeder area. Their preference
seems to be the mammals like our gray squirrels. This one perched about 20 feet from our feeders
for about 15 min. Amazingly the little birds just kept eating on the ground and hanging feeders?
I always am amazed when I watch squirrels and chipmunks eat shoulder to shoulder with all
the birds with no fear but when a cat or fox shows up they clear out. Animals know their predators.
