Description

It was a dreary, rainy day in Fayette County when this photo was taken. However, the Bay-Breasted Warblers put on quite a show in this Wild Cherry tree. There were a considerable number of birds working
the outer branches eating what appeared to be tiny caterpillar larvae. I was lucky enough to get several
usable shots but this one really got my attention. It was as if this bird was saying to me, ‘make sure
to get my good side.’ Reference to the bird, there is a lot of complex colors going on here; more than I realized initially. And as typical during migration, all that activity one day and by mid-morning the following day – practically none. Definitely a bright spot on what was a terrible day weather-wise and worth get soaked due
a leaky rain coat!

A wonderful shot! I wish I’d see some down here in Tennessee.
