Description

For six years after I first put up feeders, I never had a Pileated Woodpecker show up. Then they began to come as regularly as clockwork, every day, year round, for six years…until last year, 2017, when they all simply vanished. For a full year I felt completely abandoned. Finally, a few days ago, I’ve had this male Pileated begin coming to my suet feeders once more. I can only hope that this will be the start of another long period of regular visits.
