The squirrels in my back yard are a part of my observations for Project FeederWatch – while they do partake of bird seed (in this case, sunflower seeds – a favorite of the Northern Cardinals, Tufted Titmouse, Black-capped Chickadees and House Finches – they are not aggressive toward the birds, do no harm to the feeders and only eat a bit of the seed. I love seeing them be a part of the wild world of my back yard!

This feeder was a recent addition to Pippin's Back Yard. It was given to me by the staff of the NY Marine Rescue Center for my volunteer work this past year helping with their program of rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sea turtles and seals here in New York.
