This little guys work so hard opening the black sunflower seed, not sure why they never eat the sunflower hearts, he has the left over seed on his beak in this photo.

Des Moines, WA I have two chickadees with the silver shoulders like the one pictured here. We call them our silver backs. Most chickadees that come to my feeders have black to dark backs and shoulders.
