The Northern Flicker has been showing up daily, often with another and a few times with two friends. They dominate the feeder when they land and stay close together throughout their visit. When one was feeding and another landed, the former immediately surrendered the feeder to the late arriver, who was larger. The colors and patterns of these birds are amazing to see close up.
