Description

I wanted to show a species that I had never seen in my area before this year. in early February 2024 I first saw the Red Crossbill. They have appeared regularly at my backyard feeders the last seven weeks, the highest number has been 16 at one time and have averaged over 9 daily during those 7 weeks. I began birdwatching and photographing 4 years ago when I retired. I am delighted to be able to observe these Red Crossbills in my yard this winter.
