This morning, April 21, 2018, the first Rose-breasted Grosbeak of the year visited my feeder. I keep a record of when each of the species show up, and I always find it remarkable how consistent they are in their date of arrival. Over the past ten years, the Rose-breasted Grosbeaks have made their first annual visit between the 17th and 28th of April, although one year I had one arrive on the 7th.
