Regular sitings,, the rufous sided towhee here in S.W. Ga. too,, just saw a beautiful male singing in the top of a dead pecan tree for 8 or 9 seconds then he was gone…a real spirit lifter

I have had a nesting pair of Eastern towhees for 25 years. Can it be the same pair?

For the last 3 years there have been 2 pair. When they bring the young ones to the feeder they don’t get mixed up.

I saw another post that they are year round in Knoxville. My towhees have only been seen sparingly the last two winters. Also last year we saw them flying up to the feeder to feed.

Years ago they have become my favorite hopping bird. Also my favorite backyard birds.

Michael Bean says:

I saw one of these in my backyard, Reno,NV. 3/8/24.

Janet Smith says:

Just saw one underneath a feeder. Last saw one here about 15 years ago.
