Description

I usually watch me feeders several times during the day. This particular day the Sharp-chin arrived and stayed around for almost half an hour. The Downy did not have time to leave before the sharp-chin arrived so he froze. The sharp-chin never noticed him.

Sharp-chin At Feeders

The Sharp-chin hawk is a frequent visitor to my feeders. Naturally when he arrives all the smaller birds leave. One day a Downy Woodpecker did not leave in time. He froze and the hawk never saw him. After the hawk left the woodpecker also left.
