Description

This Baldpate was swimming with a group of migrating ringed bill ducks and buffleheads. I didn’t notice him in my picture until my husband pointed him out. After cropping and enhancing the pic we ID’s him as an American Widgeon aka Baldpate. His white crown blends in with the water and is hard to see. I love Spring! You never know who is going to pass through.
