This Pelican has tags with “Utah, 2A4” on them. It landed in our pond and ate about 7 decent sized catfish before going out to preen on a sandbar on the Colorado River flowing by our Campground. He’s been here 2 days now. It’s neck is bare of feathers and it looks like there was an injury on that was patched up. Wonder if that is why it is tagged. We are approximately 40 miles north of the Mexican border on the Colorado River.
