Description

This shot was gotten in Henry Country KY. I was fishing/photographing a small lake this particular day and was fortunate to have gotten this nice shot of two different Sandpipers feeding in close proximity to a spot I was fishing. I was amazed they spent about 15 minutes feeding so close considering I was whipping a fly rod around. I decided since they appeared to be sticking around it might make for a nice photograph so I dropped the rod and switched to the camera getting this shot and even a short video of the pair. Funny thing is they didn’t get nervous and begin to feed away from me until I pointed my camera and telephoto lens at them; camera shy I suppose. Despite getting nervous they never did flush and continued to feed, just opting to do it a little further away.
