One of my favorites – I saw a family of 5 just outside my Warrenton, VA home. It was a wood area in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are rather common on Bull Run Mountain, near me in Haymarket, VA. I noticed there are a lot of Princess trees there, they have a very light almost hollow trunk, and the Pileateds seem to love them.
