Make sure not to use flash on owls at night. It can disturb them and can make them aggressive towards people.

Please remember that it is illegal to disturb/harass birds.
Using flash on owls (or any other bird!) can cause blindness for up to 20 minutes. In alarm, the birds try to escape and often hit windows, which kills them.
Well the closest window was at least 500 feet away
