I am very familiar with the identification of a Fox Sparrow (large sparrow, strong rusty spots and streaking etc.) and there is no doubt. I realize it would not normally remain this late, but I suspect it was impeded in its ability to fly very far. The Fox Sparrow was here earlier in the fall and had remained. It was only able to fly low over short distances and was feeding on the ground near cover. It was recorded on the previous count and was also seen on November 13.
