Description

H. thrush was ground feeding on leavings from an overhead suet feeder populated by downy and hairy woodpeckers 3 days running. The thrush tried to feed on the hanging feeder but could not sustain a grasp on the wire mesh. sampled ground black oil SF seeds, too but sparingly. Looked fit and healthy and flew normally. today, D4, I have left a suet cake on the ground under a lilac tree where it has fed previously. We’ll see.

Species
