Description

Behaviour-Scratching on ground in leaves. Not a very nervous bird. Didn’t fly away when I approached with a camera. Wings looked blue-gray with rust patches. Belly patchy rust, blue-gray, creamy. Black eye mask. Lighter rusty-pale orangy eyebrow. Med. pointed black beak. Rusty colour top of head and back to wings. Darker colour looked blue-gray to me with bincocs. Originally posted this bird as a juvenile varied thrush. Project feeder watch FB messaging told me it was a rusty blackbird so I put 0 in the varied thrush line and added this entry.
