American Robin gorging on cotoneaster berries.
Today in February following a dry winter in coastal northern California, a cotoneaster tree (about 20 ft high) in my urban front lawn has a dozen male robins avidly eating the berries (pomes). I observed a robin seemingly chasing a sparrow from the tree.
