When I started feeding birds, all my books said I should be seeing the White Breasted Nuthatch. It’s been 6 months and not a one. But I have a bunch of these guys (who aren’t even on the Cornell chart for “common” feeder birds!), and I adore them. They’re smart, fearless, and they sound like doggie squeak toys to me.
