Description

As a trail steward of the Coastal Mountains Land Trust’s Beech Hill Preserve, I hike the hill daily. In late summer last year, I came upon a flock of cedar waxwings dining on the wing by hovering amid a giant swarm of tiny flies. Here’s one of them.
