This photo was snapped on a lazy spring day at the lake. For days this one and another were seen flying around and fishing in the cove where I was staying. As I took a nap under this tree’s shade, a loud squawk woke me up. The heron perched on this tree limb for at least 20 minutes giving me time to slowly grab my camera from under my reclining seat and take a photo.
