Description

This Laughing Gull was one in a thousand hovering along the shores of Padre Island in South Texas last October. The gulls were very excited and highly competitive because of the enormous number of minnows in the tide that day. Wings were souring and gulls were diving and landing on top of each other like falling dominoes. In this fleeting moment, I quickly took as many photos as I could, but the one gull that caught my eye displayed this most beautiful and graceful wingspan.
