My husband and I received an unexpected blessing as scuba divers unknowingly flushed this magestic Snowy Owl directly towards us as they came out of Lake Michigan on December 2011. This December (2013) is another unbelievable irruption year, with Montrose Point Bird Sanctuary and other points along Lake Michigan in Chicago having up to eight Snowy Owls at once!
