We have spotted a bird in our backyard we have never seen before. We first thought it was an escaped parakeet. It is the size of a goldfinch but it is almost white. It is very pale blue, almost white. It has a slender pointed billshorter than a finche’s bill and some black edges on some of its tail feathers. My husband saw yellow markings around its face and neck. We tried looking in two bird books but could find nothing.
