This Brown Thrasher is dealing well with an environment that is harsh, cold, and unforgiving. “Byrd”, (named in honour of Richard E. Byrd) even defends its territory from a large herd of Blue Jays.
I haven’t heard a peep from Byrd, but I do look forward to Spring, when the music will begin…
Week 13: The Unexpected
Unexpectedly, this Brown Thrasher has seemingly acclimatized very well to an area where temps have recently hovered in the low -40C range.
