Description

I feel as though I’ve entered the Tufted Titmouse under false pretenses, since the category is “Boring Is Beautiful”. The Titmouse is certainly common, as one of the year-rounders in my yard, and thus, a constant companion. But I love having them around, summer and winter, and NEVER find them boring.

Every time I review the photos for this week, I naturally pause at this one. I love the color coordination – rusty brown leaves match the rusty brown feathers, just visible under the wing’s edge. The bit of snow and the grey bare twigs are complementary as well. The photo is very pleasing to look at.

Ditto on Donna’s comment; and I’ll add that the little titmouse looks like it’s ready to fly out of camera range. Great shot.

Beautiful! Fall leaves, winter snow, titmouse… what more could you want?
