Each Spring I plant a row of Sunflowers along our fence line in our vegetable garden. We not only enjoy the beauty of these magnificent flowers, but the birds who often enjoy the fruits of these flowers, On a sunny, warm August day a male American Goldfinch stops by for a mid-afternoon snack of some of the sunflower seeds ripening in our backyard.
