Description

This is a photo of an American Robin sitting in one of our Mountain Ash trees. They love the berries, espescially late in the season as an alternative to worms, which they also are extremely adept at finding. This is very likely a male, as the breast is quite orange.

An American Robin Strikes A Pose

While no bird is truly "boring", the American Robin is quite common in most parts of North America, and by being common, is often taken for granted. This particular Robin in the photo seems determined to dispute that reputation by striking a rather confident pose.
