Beautiful Bird – Hilarious Expression!
Week 15: The Unexpected
The lovely purple leaves blend well with the soft tan/light brown tone colors of the feathers. And the black mask matches to the black berries. All this color coordination makes for a very nice composition, Heidie. Your bird looks even more beautiful (although a little silly too) when the photo is enlarged. (And I enlarged your photo three times!) I like it a lot!I Looks like a cedar waxwing.

I love Cedar Waxwings! Your image is very beautiful, with some humor mixed in. I love that gaping mouth with the little pink tongue. Those purple leaves really show off the light tan feathers of the Waxwing. Awesome, unique image!
