I really like this shot. The white, gray and coral colored gravel(?) in various degrees of focus sets a nice stage for the Veery!

I love this little Veery bird. Although I have never seen it, I hear it all over in the area of western new york where I live (southern part of WNY). This little bird does not seem to stay long but when I hear him I know summer is truly here. He leaves our area very early (early August) and I am always saddened when he goes. His song is a series of spiraling notes, one cannot help but notice his very unusual and lovely song!
