Description

A gregarious and somewhat quarrelsome group of birds, Chipping Sparrows are small, fast, and often confused with the American Tree sparrow. They defend their territory, which could be a limb on a branch, with vigor and flair, and can often be spotted hopping through the grass for seeds dropped from the feeders.
