I ran outside in my PJs on a 16 degree morning to get this shot after I saw a Cooper’s Hawk fly up into my maple tree. I got many shots of tail feathers only; finally the hawk looked down at me and I got this photo including the beak and eye as well. It was very exciting for me as I just got a new SLR camera this past Christmas and have just begun bird photography in the past month. This photo was taken January 28, 2016.
