Description

Lewis’ Woodpecker is one of the few birds with pink coloration. They are common at our feeders during the depths of winter when other food sources are scarce.

Thanks for submitting this photo! I have never heard of the Lewis’ Woodpecker. I checked my Audubon ID guide of North American birds and this species is not pictured.
So, I looked on line and found plenty of information.

Nice photo! And an interesting woodpecker. I learned something today!

I guess it is time I updated my Audubon Guide. (1977)
