Description

Even though it’s winter, we often get visited by Northern Flickers. This one was enjoying an afternoon snack of suet when it suddenly shot away in a hurry. Moments later a Cooper Hawk landed in one of the pines in the yard. One moment there were a lot of different birds and then, there were none. Fortunately, for the birds, there wasn’t any afternoon snack for the hawk.
