Description

I have a raised bed below one of my backyard feeders and I usually grow hummingbird-attracting annuals in this garden. This year, I allowed the “volunteers” from the black oil sunflower seeds to take over, expecting to enjoy watching the chickadees and finches on them in late summer. An unexpected bonus was watching the ruby-throated hummingbirds at the sunflowers throughout the summer.
