I had just paddled under a bridge at the outlet of Lake Pleasant in the Adirondacks and this beautiful creature very nicely posed for me as I bobbed out on the water. When he wasn’t keeping a close eye on me, he was watching his mate tend to the young in their nest which was nearby. It was quite a thrill to see one so close.
