The coots arrive in the fall and stay all winter…..up to 200 of them! in this photo they were close to, and then later right up on our beach near the dock foraging for food. Watching the Bald Eagles try to cut one out from the herd is something to see! Unfortunately I never got a good photo of them doing that…..too far out on the lake.
