Description

This little Owl was photographed while proceeding on a bird count of nocturnal birds durring fall migration. We were very happy to be able too take this picture. These little fellow do nest in my region, and in spring we can ear them sing. A real delight!

I love this photo for a number of reasons: It’s nicely shot with great composition, color and with light that is not too blaring. It’s also great that we can see back into the woods, and what a perfect perch that owl has. I’ll bet you couldn’t have planned it any better. Nice work, Celine.

I love this photo, Celine- the contrast in color and lighting is perfect, and beautifully sets off the eyes of this adorable little owl! I have not had the good fortune to see a saw-whet owl, and I hope that someday I will!
