A Savannah Sparrow that surprised me (and vice versa, I’m sure) while I was walking along a berm at the Hilliardton Marsh photographing waterfowl and other birds at the edge of the adjacent woodlot. I just managed to raise my camera and snap a few photos before it disappeared again into the reeds.
