Description

Snowy Egret sightings are very rare in Oregon. This one showed up at Delta Ponds in Eugene, Oregon and stayed for a couple of months. On rare occasions they have been reported on the Oregon Coast but seeing a Snowy Egret in the Willamette Valley is super rare. It was a fun bird to photograph and didn’t seem shy of people being around.

We live in Bluffton, SC. That’s the Low Country and on the ocean. This morning I and four neighbors saw and identified a male ring-necked pheasant at the edge of the woods and lagoon behind our homes. I understand this is a very rare occasion!!
