I love seeing this killdeer standing over its precious eggs. This photo reminds me of spring, since they are one of the first migrants to arrive back in New York. They are so active when I do see them along our rural roads, that I don’t really have a chance to see just how handsome these birds are. It is nice to see the detailed marking and the colors. The bird and eggs look even better when the photo size is enlarged. Thanks for sharing this gem.
