Description

Two hens with their large group of Jakes and Jennys were frequenting the yard in late summer looking for tree and flower seeds. One day they were coming down the ridge while the cat was basking on the boulder over the pond. They sensed danger and were cautious approaching the area. They did not see the cat until they were about 10 feet away. The hen let out a warning call and she ran back up the hill and then continued on their merry way through the woods.
