Description

This lovely pair of Pileated Woodpeckers frequented our backyard last winter. I supply suet to help sustain them all winter long. Every year they bring back their offspring and it is not unusual for me to find them peeking in my back door or perched on my deck if the suet runs out. They are noisy and boisterous when they come looking for suet so I always know when they are around. They are one of my favorite birds!
